UNTIL NEXT TIME December 17, 2017 By: Deric Kennedy Well, that's a wrap on season two (my second term) of The SCEM View, with Deric. Yes, it has been nine weeks already. Crazy huh? But a very insightful, worthwhile nine weeks indeed. Prior to embarking on this second term  in my master of strategic communication program at Troy University, I expected to  examine how the changing media environment affects outreach methods and explores practical solutions to achieve communication goals. I also new an emphasis was placed on crisis public relations problems. I have concluded, that is exactly what we did in COM6610. I have grown so much this term and I'm thankful for Dr. Padgett and not only his direction, but his influence!  See you guys next term- January 2018!  Peace and Love

I decided to hold on to the name “The SCEM View” because it's catchy and you guys already know it…so why not? And so, here we are. Let's keep riding this thing out! ...
Better Leadership Improves Crisis Management. December 30 ,2017 By: Deric Kennedy “To be effective in crisis management in the digital age means being able to use social media strategically. There is no crisis management today without a full understanding of how to use new media to listen to conversations around your brand in real-time, and understand what you do and don’t need to respond to.” – Chris Syme, author. And on that note, we will begin our show. Welcome back to The SCEM VIEW, with Deric! By now, you know that  I’m pursuing a master’s degree in Strategic Communication at Troy University.
